MALARIA PROTECTION for a child in Sierra Leone

By malaria protection, we refer to a kind of “hero medicine kit.” For example, we can find out if our One Day orphans is suffering from a flu-like infection or has malaria. With the right medications, used in a well targeted manner, we can work small miracles. With this gift, you’ll give our little local heroes the superpowers they sometimes lack.

Your donation will be used within our medical care projects, which are designed to improve the health of children. Your donation will be used exactly where it is needed. Your heroic act for One Day e.V. is tax deductible as a donation. The bank transfer receipt is sufficient as proof of donation.

Background

In the West African country of Sierra Leone, malaria is one of the greatest health threats. It is one of the poorest countries in the world. In cases involving children under the age of five, many of the cases end up being fatal. Malaria infection also poses a significant risk to mother and child during pregnancy. Thanks to the cooperation with the “German Doctors” in Serabu (about 15km from Kalia), who treat children under the age of 5 and pregnant women free of charge, and thanks to our staff member Juliet (Community Health Officer) on site, we can make the situation better for many children.
